Background: On March 10th, 2020, just one week before Stillwater Magazine's 59th would be sent to the printer, COVID-19 set in motion a number of factors that severely impacted our organization. In the midst of the pandemic, with the vision and leadership of our editors, Stillwater was re-imagined as an annual arts organization. In moving away from our print magazine, we uncovered opportunities reorient our organization in the campus community through various digital features.
Today, Stillwater Magazine produces content throughout the academic year. In the fall, editors at all levels contribute to Art Causes a Ripple, and the many opportunities on the Digital Zine. In the spring, the attention turns to our annual digital issue; editors curate a magazine, work closely with our contributors, from acceptance to publication. Each year, senior editors celebrate our contributors with a public launch party. Senior editors also nominate various works for international prizes.
How to Get Involved:
- Senior Editor Job Openings are posted early in May (with senior editors hired by the first week of June).
- Interviews for the editorial-staff-at-large are conducted in September.
This page will be updated when openings become available. Most openings coincide with the start of a new semester.
