Elizabeth Charles

Elizabeth Charles (’18) published a short story entitled “Abby, Who Doesn’t Come to Weddings,” in the Tahoma Literary Review during the summer of 2020. The story follows a primatology professor at New York University when her estranged family discovers she has a boyfriend. This particular issue of the literary review, in the spirit of the complexity of 2020, was comprised of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction pieces that grapple with nuanced family and other interpersonal dynamics. Liz first drafted the story as part of her senior project, advised by Professor Eleanor Henderson.
