EXPECTATIONS FOR PARENTS/LEGAL GUARDIANS:
ATTENDANCE : Parent/Guardians are expected to attend and observe throughout the Program activities and tours. There will be instances where parents/guardians in attendance will be asked to separate from their child temporarily, such as during an audition and/or interview. For both in-person and virtual participation, Ithaca College is not responsible for maintaining supervision of minor participants throughout the Program, nor after the end of scheduled activities.
PARENTAL CONSENT : For child to be allowed to participate, a parent consent form must be received by time of check in.
Illness/COVID-19 Matters : If your minor is experiencing any symptoms on the day of the event, please do not allow them to participate.
EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION APP (Optional) : Parents/Guardians are advised that they may download the SAFE IC App, if they wish to receive emergency campus notifications while the Minor is present on the College campus: https://www.ithaca.edu/ic-alert/
CONDUCT MATTERS : If a Program Director determines that a minor is engaging in unsafe or otherwise disruptive misconduct during the Program, the minor may be dismissed before the scheduled end of planned activities. Ithaca College is not responsible for maintaining supervision of minor participants after such dismissal.
EXPECTATIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS:
RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR: Treat all participants, staff, and visitors with kindness and respect. Use appropriate language and avoid disruptive or offensive behavior. Maintain a positive and supportive attitude towards others.
PUNCTUALITY AND ATTENDANCE: Arrive on time for the program and notify staff in advance if unable to attend.
SAFETY FIRST: Follow all safety instructions from staff and the Office of Public Safety. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to staff. Keep personal items in designated areas and avoid cluttering spaces.
CONFIDENTIALITY: Respect the privacy of other participants and keep personal information confidential. Do not take photos or videos of others.
SUBSTANCE-FREE ENVIRONMENT: The use of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco is prohibited in the program. For safety reasons, participants are required to inform staff of any medications they need to take during the program.
PARTICIPATION: Engage in scheduled activities and follow the rules set for each activity. If you feel unwell or unable to participate, inform the staff.
RESPECT FOR PROPERTY: Treat all equipment, materials, and shared spaces with care. Return any borrowed items to their designated places.
BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS: Aggressive behavior, bullying, hazing, harassment, and possession of weapons will not be tolerated in any form.
TECHNOLOGY USE: Personal electronics should be used only during designated times, if allowed. Respect the use of technology and avoid distractions during activities
