The School of Music offers several summer music opportunities to musicians of all ages.

Preparatory Programs

Summer Music Academy

Offering a residential pre-college experience with a rich offering of music & nonmusic courses taught by IC faculty and top music educators.

Summer Piano Institute

The Summer Piano Institute at Ithaca College is a comprehensive, 10-day program of intensive study for talented young pianists ages 12 through 18.

High School Piano Competition

Students in grades 7-12 are invited to enter the solo and concerto competitions. Prizes include cash awards and a $20,000 Ithaca College scholarship.

Ithaca College Suzuki Institutes

The longest-running such program in the Northeast that offers study in the philosophy and teachings of celebrated Japanese pedagogue Shinichi Suzuki.

Graduate Programs

MM or MS in Music Education

Broaden your knowledge of contemporary trends in music education through research, reflection, and interaction with leaders in the field.

Graduate Workshops

Our one-week summer graduate workshops offer an outstanding professional development experience for educators in the field.
