MLK Celebration 2027

Join us from January 15 - Feb 29th annually

The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at Ithaca College honors the life, leadership, and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a 45+ days of educational, cultural, and community-centered programs. The annual celebration brings together students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members to engage in meaningful conversations about social justice, equity, civil rights, leadership, and community engagement. Established in 2008, the celebration reflects Ithaca College’s ongoing commitment to making Martin Luther King Jr. Day a “day on, not off,” encouraging active learning, reflection, and action inspired by Dr. King’s vision for a more just and inclusive society.

This website serves as a central resource for MLK Celebration Week, providing information about the annual theme, keynote speakers, special events, community partnerships, and opportunities for involvement. Through lectures, performances, workshops, service initiatives, and dialogue, the celebration continues Ithaca College’s long-standing commitment to diversity, inclusion, civic engagement, and the values championed by Dr. King.
