Professional Entry–Level Master of Science (M.S.) in Occupational Therapy or Occupational Therapy Doctorate (O.T.D.)
Ready to Apply to the Professional Entry-Level Occupational Therapy program?
Ithaca College offers a professional entry–level master's or doctoral degree in addition to the combined BS/MS and BS/OTD programs. The professional entry–level track is designed for students who have earned a bachelor's degree in another area of study or are career changers and are interested in becoming an occupational therapist.

| Application deadline for assistantship or scholarship consideration | As available. We use a rolling admissions process, so early application is strongly encouraged. |
| Regular application deadline | OTCAS opens in mid-July and we accept applications continuously through November 10 with a rolling admissions process. We begin application review in August. Early application is strongly encouraged. |
| Minimum GPA | 3.0 |
| Prerequisite Course Requirements | Yes. Prerequisite course requirements are available at this link. All must be completed with a grade of C or higher. We strongly encourage applicants to review the Technical Standards for the program too. |
| Recommendation letters | Yes. A minimum of two are required (one preferably from a health care practitioner). If you are applying for a graduate assistantship, two additional letters are required. |
| Essay | There are several short essay response questions included in the OTCAS application. You must also provide a current resume/CV and an individual writing or work sample. |
| Testing | None. International students please review English language requirements at this link. |
| Transcript(s) | Transcripts must be uploaded into OTCAS. Upon matriculation, an official, final electronic transcript from each college or university attended must be sent to registrar@ithaca.edu. Transcripts sent from a personal email are not official.
