We know that a simple number doesn’t always tell the whole story.

Every student is an individual with talents, skills, accomplishments, and potential that cannot be reduced to a single test score.

For this reason, in most cases, we give you the choice to submit your SAT or ACT scores, or to withhold them from consideration altogether. Please note, if you are home-schooled or attend a high school that provides only descriptive report cards (rather than alphanumeric grades), you must submit either SAT or ACT scores.

Ithaca College has been test optional since 2012.

If you decide to take advantage of our test optional policy, you will be equally considered for admission to Ithaca College and for academic/talent based scholarship awards.

If you elect to send SAT or ACT scores, please have your official scores sent to Ithaca College from the testing agency. We will include those scores in our review of your application. Please note that we do not consider SAT subject test scores in our application review.
