Spring in New York City
For sixteen business students this spring, they are calling New York City their home. The ICNYC program is in full-swing that offers students the opportunity to live, study and intern in the big apple.
Piloted in the spring of 2012, the ICNYC program was designed to let students live and gain real work experience in one of the most dynamic cities in the world. From Wall Street to Midtown, School of Business students have the opportunity to engage in experiential learning tied to their academic major and career interests. New York City is a testing ground where students may engage with the world of work, experience life in the big city, and take a step forward in living independently.
This semester, students are interning at companies including PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, City Parks Foundation, and Pinebridge Financial.
ICNYC program affirms the importance of New York City to gain professional experience and a competitive edge. "The New York City experience was an incredibly important step for my future." said Andrew Steedman '13, Business Administration. He also said, "I hope the ICNYC program opens as many doors for other students as it did for me. And living in Manhattan wasn't too bad either!"
