YOUR FIRST DAY AT IC
New Hire Session
You will attend a New Hire Session on or before your first day of work. Sessions are held on the Garden Level in the Peggy R. Williams Center (located next to Dillingham Center on the campus map ). For a full outline of what to expect from the New Hire Session please visit the New Hire Session within the HR Information page.
Legally Required Forms
You will be asked to complete various new hire forms. In compliance with regulations resulting from the Immigration Reform and Control Act you will need to personally present documentation for proof of identity and employment eligibility (Form I-9). Please be prepared to bring acceptable documentation to your new hire session.
Ithaca College ID
You will be issued a Temporary ID card at your first day new hire session that will enable you to obtain your parking permit and permanent ID later that same day.
Bring your temporary ID card to the ID Office (located in room 307 in Egbert Hall/Campus Center). There you will have your picture taken and receive your permanent ID card. It will take only minutes for the new ID to be issued to you.
First Day Parking
If you plan to drive a vehicle to work on your first day, please park in the Visitor Lot until you obtain a faculty/staff parking permit from Parking/Traffic Services (Public Safety/General Services, Building 27 on the campus map).
