Presidential Search Committee Meets with Selected Candidates in Fall

Building upon input provided by the Ithaca College community, the Presidential Search Committee’s search firm partner, Spencer Stuart, spent the summer months contacting candidates who may become IC’s next president.

Just before the beginning of the fall semester, Spencer Stuart narrowed the list of candidates for the committee’s consideration, and the committee met with a selection of those candidates early in the fall semester to create a list of finalists.

Committee members were impressed with the quality of candidates identified by the firm, according to committee chair James W. Nolan Jr. ’77. Student search committee member Michele Hau ’18 described the candidate pool as “very competitive, energetic, and dynamic.”

“Hearing candidates passionately speak about their visions of the future of the college has been incredibly inspiring, and I’m confident that others will feel the same way,” Hau said.
