The Ithaca Bach Ensemble, founded in 2011, is a faculty baroque music ensemble comprised of Deborah Montgomery, soprano; David Parks, tenor; Nicholas DiEugenio, violin; Wendy Mehne, flute; Paige Morgan, oboe; Elizabeth Simkin, violoncello; and Jean Radice, harpsichord and organ.
The ensemble is devoted to presenting the works of Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) on modern instruments. The repertoire draws upon the vast collection of vocal arias with solo instrumental obbligato found in the cantatas, the sonatas for solo instruments with harpsichord, and the concerti for various instruments with continuo.
All seven members of the ensemble are on the faculty of the
School of Music at Ithaca College.
