Examines the approach to sustainability in the city of London. Using the city as the canvas, the class examines the ways in which environmental issues are tied to socio-economic structures. With an emphasis on problem-solving, the course explores how social justice efforts, such as ending poverty and improving health and education, are linked to environmental policies and practices. Course includes visits to multiple sites in London where social and environmental sustainability is being actively addressed. Some sites may require admission fees. (S,U)
