Apply for Internship Funding

The Park School Offers Funding for Summer, Fall and Spring Internship Opportunites (application link below)

An internship can be a game-changer. At the Park School, we encourage students to have that experience, and we create lots of opportunity to connect with one. Unfortunately, sometimes a great internship opportunity may require additional funding, and we don’t want that to stop your chances. If you thought an internship experience was not possible for financial reasons, we hope these Park School funds might help you rethink that – and go after that game-changing experience.

Unless noted, these awards require you to have demonstrated financial need to be eligible. Need is determined through the review of your FAFSA (preferred FAFSA deadline: March 1st).

You will not need to know your internship when you apply. Instead, you will use your pre-approval to go after an internship opportunity without worrying about the financial implications. Want more info? Contact Associate Dean Rob Gearhart or Career Engagement Specialist Suzanne Brache

APPLY for “pre-approval” of funding by Monday March 6, 2023
Note: additional application rounds will be considered if funding is still available - 2nd round deadline is March 27, 3rd round is April 17.

Eligible applications will apply to the following funding opportunities:

  • James B. Pendleton Award for Student Internships (Summer 2023)
  • The Emerson Summer Internship (Summer 2023)

Need Assistance?

We recognize that it can be expensive to do an internship - you may need to get housing in a major city or the internship sponsor may require that you register for academic credit.  If you have concerns about this, talk with Suzanne Brache, our Career Engagement Specialist in Park 258.
