“We are thrilled to honor Dr. Joslyn Brenton, Associate Professor of Sociology, as the Faculty Career Champion during COW 2025. Dr. Brenton and her team of student researchers made invaluable contributions to the Center for Career Exploration and Development that have made a lasting impact.
During the Fall 2024 semester, Dr. Brenton guided her team of student researchers in conducting extensive interviews with recent Ithaca College alumni who transitioned into the workforce after holding student employment roles on campus. Their research provided profound insights into the connections between student employment experiences and post-graduate workforce readiness.
Dr. Brenton’s dedication to this collaborative project has been instrumental in shaping our practices and strengthening the support we offer to student employees. We are deeply grateful for her contributions and proud to celebrate her as this year’s Faculty Career Champion.”
