Advice From Adriana

What factors contribute(d) to your success?

Some factors that contributed to my success in school included my involvement in extracurriculars and on campus jobs like Phonathon and Residential life. My involvement in academic, social, and extracurricular activities while at IC helped me gain time management, leadership, and interpersonal skills that I still use every day in my career.

Who at IC supported you on your journey?

All of the faculty and staff of the IC Occupational Therapy department helped me gain the skills I needed to be the confident clinician I am today, and I am so thankful that I can be apart of a career that is so meaningful to me. My experience as a Resident Assistant and Apartment Assistant for IC Residential Life is also a time that I am very grateful for as it pushed me to grow both personally and professionally.

What advice would you offer to students?

Get involved. Take advantage of all of the opportunities IC has to offer you.
