Ithaca College Supports a Vibrant Arts and Culture Community
The performing arts are some of what Ithaca College does best. Since its founding in 1892 as a music conservatory, Ithaca College has relished bringing the arts to the community, and that charter continues to be alive and well.
Each year, the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance produces nearly 400 ensemble concerts, theatre performances, guest artist series, and student recitals on campus, all made available to the public often for free.
Ithaca College and the Namgyal Monastery Institute of Buddhist Studies bring an ancient form of spiritual and artistic expression to the Ithaca community.
Together, IC and the Community Arts Partnership are fostering creativity and introducing locals to new and emerging artistic voices.
