Living Learning Communities for First-Year Students

Where Academic and Residential Life Connect

At Ithaca College, learning extends beyond the classroom. Our new Living Learning Communities (LLCs) are designed to help first-year students build meaningful connections through shared interests, engaging courses, and vibrant residential experiences.

LLCs bring together students who are passionate about similar topics and provide opportunities to connect with faculty, staff, and peers in a supportive residential environment. Whether your interests are rooted in creativity, adventure, performance, or exploration, these communities are designed to help you feel connected from the moment you arrive on campus.

Faculty connected to LLCs will also host interactive programs and events throughout the semester in collaboration with Residential Assistants (RAs) and residential staff. These experiences are designed to strengthen community, encourage collaboration across residence halls, and create opportunities for students to engage with faculty outside of the classroom.
