Electroacoustic Music Studios

Ithaca College’s Electroacoustic Music Studios serve as a focal point of creative expression through the use of technology. Students have access to two 7.1 surround sound spaces equipped with digital audio workstations, comprehensive sound libraries, and tools for live audio processing. Through courses or individual study, composition students can pursue projects in fixed media composition, spatial audio, film and multimedia scoring, live electronics, sound design, and other topics. For liberal arts students, the studios offer the chance for students to explore their own compositional and creative interests while learning a variety of ways to make music through technology.
