Fall 2026 Information

COURSE INFORMATION: ICLA students are required to enroll as a full-time student with a minimum of 12 credits, unless approved for part-time status. Students should consult with their faculty advisor and Student Financial Services before requesting part-time status.

The following courses will be offered in Los Angeles in fall 2026:

CNPH 30000 Fiction Film Theory - 4 credits

MASS 43700 Thesis Writing for Film and Television - 4 credits

TVR 33500 Electronic Media Criticism - 4 credits

GCOM 32600 Media Industries (REQUIRED) - 1 credit

All ICLA students are required to enroll in an internship for 6-8 credits.

INTERNSHIP HOURS REQUIREMENTS: Students must work a minimum total of 45 hours for each internship credit registered. These hours can be worked at one or more internship sites. There is no need to register for more credits if your working hours will exceed the minimum requirement. It is acceptable to work at paid internships.

• 6 credits: minimum 270 hours over the semester / ~20 hours per week
• 7 credits: minimum 315 hours over the semester / ~23 hours per week
• 8 credits: minimum 360 hours over the semester / ~26 hours per week

HOUSING: Students can lease apartments through Kapi Residences or find their own housing. For more information on housing and the application, go to https://www.kapiresidences.com/ithaca. 

ZOOM ORIENTATION: There will be a mandatory zoom orientation meeting on Sunday, March 8 at 7:00pm EST / 4:00pm PST. We will cover housing, academics, resumes, and internships, as well as answer any questions you may have. More information will be emailed to students during the week prior to the meeting.
