Understanding HOMER (Our Student Information System)

Our Student Information System is named “Homer” after the classic Greek poet. The software behind the scences is actually Ellucian's Banner and is used by colleges and universities of higher education around the world. Students at IC have access to the web self-service portion of the system, referred to as HomerConnect.

Students use HomerConnect to:

  • register for classes
  • view financial aid
  • view schedule
  • view grades
  • perform degree evaluations
  • requests transcripts
  • view your expected graduation date
  • request enrollment verification
  • and more ...

Use HomerConnect to stay connected. Your HomerConnect account stays with you even after you graduate! Always keep your User ID, PIN and security question/answer in a safe place.  Not only will you need this information on a routine basis throughout your college career, but you'll want it afterwards as well.
