Graduate school in the MIT-WHOI Joint Program in Biological Oceanography - I study coral reef microbial ecology!

How do you feel IC prepared you for your career?

IC prepared me well for my career. I especially appreciate the mentorship and research experience IC provided. If it were not for Te-Wen Lo's advice and help on applications to summer research experiences, I would not be in the graduate school I am in today!

What is one thing you love about IC Biology?

I LOVE the professors in IC biology. I think the professors are what make that department so special. They are all so approachable, yet do incredible research. On top of that, they are top-notch instructors. I thoroughly feel the IC biology department is a hidden gem at IC with incredible faculty and research opportunities.
