Academic Year Internship

Academic Year Internship

During the academic year, students can get credit for off-campus internships (ENVS 49500). Any internship requires an ENVS faculty member to serve as an advisor – each faculty has their own unique internship section each semester.  Please meet with your academic advisor to discuss ideas.

The School of Humanities and Sciences requires that all credit-bearing Internships get approval in advance. Students must submit a learning contract for approval before the semester or term in which the internship will take place. Because learning contracts require approval by the faculty sponsor, the faculty sponsor’s department chair, the site supervisor at the work location, and the H&S Dean's office, students are advised to begin the learning contract process well in advance. For more information and to download a copy of the learning contract, visit the H&S webpage.
