No, only IC employees using their IC email address can create profiles with CTP.
Students must be booked as guests.

Yes, all personal information is secure; credit card information is masked from CTP. 
If you have an Arranger, this person will have full access to see your personal information in your profile.

You may book up to 9 people on the same itinerary in Lightning by using “Add Guest Traveler” (your profile must be set up as an Arranger).

For 5 or more people, you can use the Group Travel Request Form or call the Group Travel Desk at 800-810-2695 M-F 8am-5pm CST.

The profile for the traveler must have credit card information in their profile – whatever card is to be charged must be in the traveler’s profile.

Yes, an Aranger has full access to a traveler’s profile (if they allow in their profile).
However, the traveler must complete the initial profile with Legal name, DOB, etc.

  1. Both the traveler and Arranger must first create a profile and complete four pink sections.
  2. Contact IC Travel Admin (or CTP agent) to check the Arranger box (in the General section) of the Arranger’s profile.
  3. The traveler then goes to their profile to the Administration box and adds the Arranger name and checks the box for Primary Arranger.

No, personal travel must be purchased separately. This is due to Risk Management restrictions.
We recommend opening another browser directly with the airline and make the purchases simultaneously.

The candidate should make their own travel arrangements and then be reimbursed by Finance Cloud. If this is not possible, then an Ithaca College employee that is an Arranger can submit a request using the Ithaca College Candidate Travel Form. Under no circumstances should a department ask for their TSA information.

After you purchase your ticket, you may contact the airline to upgrade your seat and pay with a personal credit card.

    An agent can quickly make suggestions to find a comparable flight.
  • Keep in mind that the rates displayed are within the IC Travel Policy. You will not see Basic Economy Fares because these rates do not offer refundable tickets, seating, baggage, etc. and are not allowed per policy.
  • CTP should be used for International and domestic flights for employees, staff, students, and guests. There are other advantages to CTP besides cost.
