The IC Women in Math Day is a day designed for female high school students and their families to engage with interesting mathematical ideas and to learn more about careers that incorporate mathematics. The day will consist of an interactive session introducing the idea of game theory, a career panel of women who use mathematics in their work, and a lunch with small group discussions.
There is no cost to participate and the lunch is included. The program is designed for high school women in grades 8 through 12 though is open to all interested students and their families.
This event is sponsored by MAA Tensor Grant program for Women in Mathematics, the Ithaca College Math Department, and the Ithaca College Alumni Office.
