The Committee will be responsible for assisting with gathering and verifying Clery Act related data and policies, with the ongoing goal of making Clery compliance truly an institutional-wide effort. The Clery Act, with all of its intricacies and mandates, requires colleges and universities to build bridges, enhance communication across disciplines, with the shared goal of creating and maintaining a safe community for all members.
The Clery Act Compliance Committee will be chaired by the Clery Act and Crime Prevention Coordinator. The membership will be prescribed and made up of key stakeholders from the following offices: Residential Life, Title IX, Judicial Affairs, Athletics, Human Resources, Office of General Counsel, Facilities, Public Safety, Student Engagement, New Student and Transition Programs, and the Provost and Academic Affairs.
The committee will meet monthly.
