How to Apply: Study Abroad Application Logistics

If you're planning to study abroad in 2026-27 and you have questions about the application process or the February 15th deadline, this session is for you. We'll review how to find a program, the study abroad registration and application process, and deadlines to keep in mind. We'll touch on all program types, including the London Center, exchange, affiliated, and non-affiliated programs.

Study Abroad Application Clinic

Thursday 1/29, 11:00 am-2:00 pm, Campus Center Lobby

Study abroad advisers will be in the Campus Center Lobby to provide advising and application assistance. Stop by anytime in the 3-hour timeframe, grab a free cup of coffee or tea and some international sweets, and get the help you need to submit your application.

APPLY TO THE ITHACA COLLEGE LONDON CENTER

If you would like to apply to the Ithaca College London Center program, follow the step-by-step guide which includes important information about the London Center Orientation, required financial documentation and preliminary information about if you will need to apply for a U.K. visa.

APPLY TO AN ITHACA COLLEGE SHORT-TERM PROGRAM

If you are interested in applying to an Ithaca College program led by one of our faculty members during the summer, winter, fall/spring break, follow the step-by-step guide that will help walk you through the application process. Note that some programs offered by IC faculty members run in conjunction with a class taught during the fall or spring semesters, so please plan accordingly by registering for the appropriate course.

APPLY TO AN EXCHANGE PROGRAM

If you would like to apply to an Ithaca College Exchange program, follow the step-by-step guide that will help walk you through the process of applying and offers important subsequent steps that students need to be aware of. After acceptance into an exchange program, students will be nominated by Ithaca College and will then be responsible for submitting additional application materials that are required by the host institution. Failure to submit these additional requirements will automatically revoke a student's acceptance.

APPLY TO AN AFFILIATED PROGRAM

If you would like to apply to an Ithaca College Affiliated program, follow the step-by-step guide that will help walk you through the application process. This guide also lists the Ithaca College requirements after being accepted to a program. Please be aware that there will be pre- and post-acceptance requirements specified by both Ithaca College and the study abroad organization that offers the program you have selected.

APPLY TO A NON-AFFILIATED PROGRAM

If one of the Ithaca College, Exchange, or affiliated programs isn't the right choice, IC students can study abroad through any program run by an accredited institution. Every student has different needs and interests - whether personal, academic or financial - and there are hundreds of well-respected, accredited study abroad programs all over the world. Just follow the step-by-step guide that will help walk you through the application process. This guide also lists the Ithaca College requirements after being accepted to a program. Please be aware that there will be pre- and post-acceptance requirements specified by both Ithaca College and the study abroad organization that offers the program you have selected.
