Complete Post-Acceptance Requirements

Finalize your study abroad plans.

Once you are accepted to a program, there will always be post-acceptance steps to complete before your study abroad plans are finalized. These will vary by program type. Below, you can read about some of the steps you will be expected to complete.

LONDON CENTER - Post-Acceptance Requirements
  1. Log in to your London Center application and submit the post-acceptance materials listed by the deadlines indicated.
  2. All accepted students are required to attend the London Live sessions offered in the semester before they go abroad. You can find detailed information about the London Live sessions in your London Center acceptance email.
  3. For students who will be applying for a visa, you will need to secure proof of funds 28 days before applying for your visa.   4. All London Center students MUST be able to show that they are able to financially support themselves while in the United Kingdom. Click here for detailed information on how to obtain appropriate required financial documentation.
ITHACA COLLEGE FACULTY-LED PROGRAMS - Post-Acceptance Requirements
  1. Log into your online study abroad file and submit the post-acceptance materials listed by mid-May for summer/fall programs and by mid-December for winter/spring programs.
  2. All accepted students are required to attend one of the Traveling Abroad orientation sessions
EXCHANGE PROGRAM - Post-Acceptance Requirements
  1. Complete and submit all required materials to the exchange university.
  2. Schedule a post-acceptance paperwork appointment with a study abroad advisor.
  3. Log into your online study abroad file and submit the post-acceptance materials listed by mid-May for summer/fall programs and by mid-December for winter/spring programs.
  4. Exchange students are required to attend two orientation sessions: Ithaca College Logistics and Traveling Abroad.
  5. Students will work with the exchange partner to understand the visa process, if a visa is required. Study abroad advisors are available to assist.
AFFILIATED & NON-AFFILIATED PROGRAMS - Post-Acceptance Requirements
  1. Schedule a post-acceptance paperwork appointment with a study abroad advisor.
  2. Log into your online study abroad file and submit the post-acceptance materials listed by mid-May for summer/fall programs and by mid-December for winter/spring programs.
  3. Complete all post-acceptance tasks required by your study abroad program provider.
  4. All students accepted to affiliated and non-affiliated programs are required to attend two orientation sessions: Ithaca College Logistics and Traveling Abroad.
  5. Students will work with the affiliated partner or non-affiliated program provider to understand the visa process, if a visa is required. Study abroad advisors are available to assist.
