Welcome to Student Accessibility Services (SAS) at Ithaca College.

Student Accessibility Services facilitates access to learning, living, and recreational environments for students with disabilities at Ithaca College.

SAS works in partnership with IC students, faculty and staff to develop and implement accommodation plans.

This website provides information on how to:

  • Register with this office
  • Provide documentation of a disability
  • Request accommodations

Please be advised that putting accommodations into place takes time. We encourage students to register and request accommodations as soon as possible.

Student Accessibility Services also works closely with the other units of the Center for Academic Advancement: The Academic Advising Center and Tutoring Services and can make referrals to those offices and others on campus in order to best serve student needs.

Test Request Process and Procedure

For exams that are not during finals week, the SAS offices close at 6:00 PM Monday – Thursday, and 5:00 PM on Fridays. When scheduling an exam ensure that your extended time falls within SAS office hours.

*Please follow the 3 business day rule when scheduling a test during the semester (not a final exam).
If you have a test on: You must schedule by:
Monday Wednesday of the week before
Tuesday Thursday of the week before
Wednesday Friday of the week before
Thursday Monday of the same week
Friday Tuesday of the same week

*Please note that weekends and holidays are not business days.

*Students taking exams with SAS will be required to show picture ID before taking exams.
