In accordance with the Clery Act and New York State Education Law, the Office of Public is committed to providing transparency regarding hate crimes that occur on-campus, in non-campus buildings that are owned or leased by the college, or property immediately adjacent and accessible to the campus. The Office of Public Safety discloses hate crime statistics in the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report, which includes crimes motivated by bias related to race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or national origin.
To ensure public awareness and transparency, a publicly accessible hate crime log is available on the Office of Public Safety’s website at ithaca.edu/safety. This log provides detailed information about reported hate crimes, including the type of incident, location, and disposition.

The College discloses hate crime statistics in accordance with the Clery Act and New York State Law Article 129-A, section 6433. Certain hate crime statistics are reported to the United States Department of Education, which can be viewed by visiting Campus Safety and Security (ed.gov). All hate crimes and other criminal offenses are reported through the Uniform Crime Reporting System. Additionally, hate crime incident disclosure, per NYS Law definitions, are made publicly available online. Crime statistics are disclosed in Ithaca College’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report, as well as posted at ithaca.edu/safety per New York State Law. Public Safety maintains a hate crime log, which is available online at https://www.ithaca.edu/safety.
