How can I find out about jobs and internships?

Try looking at the databases below for everything from volunteer work to faculty positions at research institutions. If you want to look at a broad range of possible careers in the field of biology, the website of the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology has published an index page entitled Careers in Biology.

There are many job boards that list biology jobs, such as:

  • managed for Ithaca College by AfterCollege
  • After College is the largest career network specializing in recruitment at the college level
  • employers such as Agilent, Covance and Schlumberger now have opportunities available for science majors
  • information about these and other opportunities are available on the Job Resource Center
