Only Ithaca College faculty and staff are authorized to reserve College Vehicles. (College Vehicle: includes College-owned, leased, or outside rental agency vehicles).

Using personal vehicles for College business is highly discouraged. If you use your own vehicle, it is your responsibility to carry adequate personal auto insurance coverage for yourself, your vehicle, and any passengers. A traveler should review their personal insurance coverage prior to using their own vehicle for College business. The vehicle owner’s insurance will be primary for any accident, bodily injury and/or physical damage and is not reimbursable by the College.

All Ithaca College faculty and staff must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) prior to operating a College Vehicle.

DEPARTMENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO RENT A VEHICLE LARGER THAN A MINIVAN. U-HAUL RENTALS, LARGE BOX TRUCK RENTALS, LARGE-PASSENGER VAN RENTALS, ETC. ARE NOT ALLOWED. PLEASE REVIEW THE MVA PROCEDURES IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT.
