Personal Property

Concerned about your smart phone, tablet, laptop, bicycle, TV, books, etc.?

The College is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property and does not carry insurance to protect the personal property of employees or students. However, coverage is available through Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc. in Syracuse, NY, who administers a Personal Property Protection program. The coverage is available to all Ithaca College students and employees, and extends worldwide.

The coverage insures against a wide range of losses, such as theft, vandalism, fire, accidental damage, etc. Policy information, limitations, and exclusions are located at http://www.studentinsuranceprograms.com/pp. It's easy to enroll online. You choose the coverage amount, from $2,000 up to a max of $20,000, and you choose a deductible, either $50 or $100. Please Note: All mobile devices are subject to a $100 deductible. If you experience a loss, this policy pays first, even if you have other insurance, i.e. homeowners. The policy does not cover unexplained losses.

Policy coverage begins on August 15 and is valid for one year. Enroll Now! If you enroll after September 1, coverage becomes effective 5 days after the form is received and processed by Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc.
